This week was another big news week. We started the week looking forward to the New Year. Brian Robinson joined us to talk about what the big stories were and how important it was for the Congress to get a Speaker in the first vote. And we looked at the big stories of the year.
Then Congressman Andrew Clyde on the budget vote, appropriations progress and the Speaker fight. By the time you listen to this, we will have a new speaker and Rep. Clyde was one of the ones that hesitated but then finally voted for Speaker Johnson. Was that the right strategy?
And Greg Bluestein from the AJC was in New Orleans after the terrorist attack and before my Dawgs lost to Notre Dame on Thursday. We were still hopeful. He gives us the lay of the land and how people were feeling.
