It’s been a very interesting week and we thought a lot about what’s importants. I believe you should vote, parent your children (or grandchildren) and have face to face conversations with people. In the struggles on college campuses this week, we will find it’s a small minority of students who are causing the trouble. Just like in the protests of the late 60s and early 70s.
I got a message from an Marine friend of mine who has been forward in the Middle East since February. He said pray for peace and he guessed you have to have an Ivy League education to side with Hamas in this fight. To a man that is actually putting his life on the line for us, let’s pray and lift a glass to him and his safety and this great country.
In that vein, we talked to David Stovall about the wonder of flight—a truly began in America experience. Then Rich Rogers from the America First Policy Institute on the role of faith in being involved in our community. Then Mike Freeman who found a new career in writing in the Covid shutdowns and what that means to him. Finally, country music star John Rich and the frat boys who captivated a nation by cradling the American flag and UNC.
