My hubby is a doctor—and old school primary care, paper charts, one on one doctor. He closed his office in 2018 and we now run a correctional health business in the county we live in and provide primary and mental health care with 20 nurses and my husband to the detention center.
Our community in the north Georgia mountains has a very good health care system and recently they’ve innovated in several ways. This week we talk to the new CEO of Northeast Georgia Health Systems, Dr. Matt Hanley and Dr. Karen Gersch, a cardiac thoracic surgeon who is pioneering an early detection model for lung cancer that is saving lives every day.
Hope you enjoy and learn something you can use in your community.
